FORD V8 5.4 OIL SEPARATOR & BREATHER KIT

Reduce oil consumption and Detonation!

This is an essential component that can reduce or eliminate oil consumption & intake charge contamination through the intake system. If you've removed your intake plenum and noticed oil build-up, then you may need an Oil Breather Separator to absorb the oil and prevent its passage into the intake system.

Herrod Motorsport recommends the use of an Oil Breather Separator for all supercharged and high performance naturally aspirated applications. It is especially beneficial for vehicles used for track day events where vehicles run wide open throttle for extended periods of time.

The Twin CNC Machined Billet Aluminium Oil Breather Separators utilise an inline PCV valve and a new grommet for the right hand rocker cover & the left breather connects to the factory valve cover breather hose that feeds into the air inlet tube/throttle body assembly.

The billet component is assembled with a lower and upper housing, two screens and an oil vapour/mist filter media. The housing threads together utilising a rubber seal. This facilitates inspection of the filter media. The filter media is sandwiched between two mesh screens, which allow the oil vapour/mist to be absorbed and collected by the filter and then passed back through the lower screen.

The price for the street kit is $395.00. Allow $25.00 for fitting.

Vernier Timing Gears

Herrod Motorsport now has available for the Ford BOSS range of engines, Vernier Timing Gears.

These gears allow for precise cam timing by having the ability to advance and retard the cam by as much as 6 degrees on the exhaust and 10 degrees on the intake cam shafts.

Why not make the most of your standard or modified camshafts with our Vernier Timing Gears. Removal of the intake plenum and valve covers are all that is required to make adjustments.

KF17 Oil Pump Gears

The Herrod Motorsport Billet Oil Pump Gears have been built to specifically replace the factory powdered metal gears that are prone to failure on lightly modified vehicles. These Billet Oil Pump Gears are a must on any modified Boss engine.

Cold Air Induction Systems

Currently, most vehicles are either breathing in warm air from within the engine bay or trying to suck enough air through a standard undersized and restrictive induction. Cool air that is forced into a car's engine is a well-proven way of improving your car's performance. Cool air is mandatory for optimum performance as it is denser and contains more oxygen than warm air resulting in a more complete combustion. Cold Air Induction systems are designed to channel high-pressure cool air from the front of a moving car directly to the air box. This ramming effect of cool air provides superior performance to that of a pod system that filters swirling hot air from within the engine bay and has no ram effect whatsoever. Your vehicles ECU and/or airflow meter are designed to detect this increase of cool air and alter the air/fuel mixture accordingly. High-pressure airflow is forced into the engine like a slight supercharging effect.

Herrod Underdrive Pulley System

The Herrod Motorsport Under-Drive Pulley system is specifically designed & engineered for the 5.4 Litre Ford modular engine (not the 4.6 Litre Mustang engine) with correct counterweight to maintain drive-train harmonics for the 5.4 litre engine. These aftermarket pulleys are 25% under-driven to reduce drag from engine accessories allowing your engine to spin up freely and quickly.

The Herrod Motorsport Under-Drive Pulley system is S.F.I – 18.1 ( Safety Federation Incorporated ) approved and stamped for Motorsport use, and has been safety tested up to 12,500 R.P.M. Each Pulley system is individually Serial Numbered.

Feeling the benefits of the Herrod Motorsport Under-Drive Pulley system is all in the throttle response with 25% reduced drag on your accessories providing far superior acceleration.

Each Herrod Motorsport 25% Under-Drive Pulley kit comes supplied with an SFI-18.1 approved Crankshaft pulley and matching water-pump pulley.

Helix Spacer

Extensive in-house testing on the BA Quad-Cam V8 engine on our Dyno-Dynamics chassis dyno has demonstrated that sufficient air flows from the standard throttle-body. However, by adding the exclusive Herrod Motorsport design Helix Spacer between the throttle-body and manifold, there are increases in air induction turbulence and air speed into the manifold resulting in sharper throttle response and increased power.
80mm Helix Spacer is available specifically designed to suit aftermarket 80mm throttle bodies.

Stainless Steel Quad Rear Outlet

Developed by Rob Herrod in conjunction with Dick Johnson for the DJR 320 road car program, this exhaust system delivers the ultimate in performance, sound and style. The system includes High Performance Coated Headers and Hi-flow Catalytic Converters coupled with a full mandrel-bent 2 ½" Stainless Steel Twin system with Stainless Hi-Performance Mufflers and Quad Chrome Outlets.
