KF28 KPM Premium Intercoolers

KPM fabricate only the best intercoolers using premium materials from Australian only suppliers. With the intercooler doing one of the most important jobs on the turbo system, quality is essential. Proper intercooler upgrades must be exactly that, an upgrade! As its name suggests, the intercooler is responsible for cooling the incoming hot air created by the turbo. With an efficient intercooler, the engine can reliably deliver more power. A poor intercooler on an upgraded engine can lead to detonation and subsequent engine failure. All KPM Intercoolers are fully tested and developed specifically for their required application.

PWR Performance Products are making full use of the laws of physics, developing several of the most efficient intercoolers in the world. PWR use a revolutionary seamless rounded leading edge tube design throughout the manufacturing process. These tubes have an integrated internal fin with a straight through design, which improves heat transfer for less pressure drop, resulting in higher flow and reduced lag time. PWR intercoolers are individually hand manufactured using 12 FPI (fins per square inch) and can be custom designed by in house “Auto CAD” design division or simply just replace your current OEM system for better flow and performance.

Plazmaman 1200HP Intercooler

As used in our KPM Cyclone kits,

This is the one to use if you want really BIG power, this intercooler is rated at 1200HP when used with the rest of the 12K intake kit.

Developed by Plazmaman utilising over 10 years experience  in all forms of motorsports . These intercoolers utilise a unique 505 x 395 x 76 mm tube and fin core and are a  feather- weight 7.5 kgs. Using a genuine 76mm core, with a 75mm internal dimension, compare that with a bar and plate type intercooler of the same external dimension that loses on average 10-14mm internally, these cores have minimum mass and maximum surface area. Add to that end tanks that have been designed using computer modelling to maximise thermal distribution and minimise turbulence and you have the most efficient intercooler on the market today for the XR6T or F6.

After significant testing, KPM Motorsport is proud to use and promote Plazmamans 12K Plenum and Intercooler kit (www.plazmaman.com.au)
Utilising our extensive research and experience, it has been found that the BA engine suffers from an inability to efficiently inhale, but rather than simply creating ‘oversized’ factory style parts, we chose to vastly improve the engine’s breathing ability above standard levels via an emphasis on removing the many inherent inlet obstructions. Plazmaman's own R&D Departmenth has spent significant time computer simulating and manufacturing various induction designs whereby virtually the entire factory induction system is replaced with a completely new set-up.
Once installed, the KPM Cyclone kit will increase your car’s performance by providing better throttle response and significant kw increases without sacrificing everyday drivability.

The kit itself is beautifully made and polished to a mirror finish, and looks very impressive when installed.

A larger more efficient intercooler capable of flowing for over 1200BHP is utilised, as are mandrel bent pipes, and a cold air box.

We chose the Plazmaman kits for the following reasons:

Auto Transmission Upgrade/Hi Stall Converter

As you increase engine power, demands on the vehicles drive line increase dramatically. Your vehicle transmission must be able to cope with the extra power and torque delivered from your engine upgrade.

KPM can engineer your transmission to cope with whatever the level of demands and applications you want from your vehicle. We remove your transmission and completely dismantle and inspect all internal components.  Our technicians then fully rebuild your transmission with upgraded performance components including Clutches, Shafts and Valve Body Shift Kits. Your transmission is then refitted to your vehicle and all necessary adjustments are performed.  At KPM, we offer various levels of performance builds to cope with full race applications or just reliable street performance.

Diff Ratio Upgrade

Apart from increasing your engine power, changing your diff ratio will improve your 0 to 100 km times more than any other upgrade.

Changing the diff gears is like changing gears on a push bike.  The lower the gear, the easier it is to accelerate from a standing start.  KPM can recommend a gear ratio for your diff that will provide the best performance for your requirements.  KPM can get you down the quarter mile as fast as possible or provide a balanced compromise to put some extra life into your sluggish vehicle set-up.  Whatever the application, a diff ratio upgrade will definitely transform your vehicle to provide a much more responsive and enjoyable drive.
