KF20 KPM UPGRADE Stage 1

The KPM Stage 1 package is engineered to provide our entry level bolt-on upgrades on your BA-BF XR6 Turbo and Typhoon. After many years of tuning and upgrading the BA and now BF Fords, both on dyno and track, KPM has developed a package that delivers exceptional sound, drive, and of course, optimum power and performance for your dollar.

These packages have been developed as the most compatible for your XR6 Turbo and Typhoon, allowing for value for money with no guess work. As a KPM customer, you drive in knowing exactly what upgrades you are expected to receive. We confidently handle the rest and all that is left is for you to ENJOY the performance.

KPM UPGRADE Stage 4

Power output: 420-600 kw at the flywheel or approx 335-500 rwkw

Using the 12K Plazmaman kit enables us to give your vehicle unlimited potential, however, we recommend that after the KPM Stage 3 progression kit, engine and transmission modifications should be carried out. Ask us about our Stage 4 kit. We recommend the following modifications :

  • Engine and transmission removed, stripped and inspected.
  • Block sonically tested to ensure no core shift or other problems.
  • Clearances machined to exacting standards (blueprinted).
  • Crank, rods, pistons are balanced.
  • New rings and bearings.
  • New custom high performance Series 600 H-beam rods and bolts fitted.
  • Cylinder head stripped, checked, cleaned where necessary (in stock trim the XR6 head provides extremely good flow characteristics)
  • Custom Cyclone heavy-duty valve springs.
  • Engine reassembled to exacting standards. .
  • Custom design high-flow exhaust system

KPM CYCLONE KIT

After significant testing, KPM Motorsport is proud to use and promote Plazmamans 12K Plenum and Intercooler kit (www.plazmaman.com.au)
Utilising our extensive research and experience, it has been found that the BA engine suffers from an inability to efficiently inhale, but rather than simply creating ‘oversized’ factory style parts, we chose to vastly improve the engine’s breathing ability above standard levels via an emphasis on removing the many inherent inlet obstructions. Plazmaman's own R&D Departmenth has spent significant time computer simulating and manufacturing various induction designs whereby virtually the entire factory induction system is replaced with a completely new set-up.
Once installed, the KPM Cyclone kit will increase your car’s performance by providing better throttle response and significant kw increases without sacrificing everyday drivability. The kit itself is beautifully made and polished to a mirror finish, and looks very impressive when installed.

KPM CYCLONE KIT INCLUDES :

  • Custom polished coated high-flow CNC machined inlet manifold
  • Custom cast alloy thermostat housing
  • Polished alloy 100mm inlet tube

All KPM Cyclone BA XR6 Turbo power upgrade kits are designed for easy installation. Just three holes are drilled to accommodate the many new parts with two dedicated to the front-mount intercooler and a third for the battery tray. Note that none of the holes or bolts are visible. Furthermore, should the kit ever be removed for re-sale, none of the additional three holes remain visible.
